R & R Workshop: DIY Chalkboard Paint Easter Eggs

DIY Chalkboard Paint Easter Eggs

Chalkboard paint is being used on everything these days! I love the idea of painting eggs for Easter, but I want to be able to use them year after year! I've seen a lot of ideas to paint hard-boiled eggs but I thought..why not the plastic ones too? :)

You will need:
-Plastic Easter Eggs (You can find a bag at the dollar store or walmart.)
-Chalkboard Paint and primer. Krylon is what I used and
the $8 can goes a long way!
- Paint Brush
- Newspaper
-chalk
-Gloves (optional-your hands will get dirty)

Directions:
1: Lay out your newspaper. Or if your like me, extra wrapping paper works too :)

2: Pick out your eggs to paint and lay on paper. Prime your eggs. This is important so the chalkboard paint wont come off when you draw on them.

3:  Paint your eggs and let dry between each coat. This is important so the paint wont come off when you are decorating them so be sure to do this step!  Dry overnight or for at least 6 hours. I let mine dry over night just to make sure they were dried completely.

4: Color away!

I like that the eggs add some variety to our Easter decor and kids can color them whenever they choose :)
Have fun!
