R & R Workshop: Polka Dot Lampshade Tutorial

Polka Dot Lampshade Tutorial

Have you enjoyed all the fun projects this week?!

A friend gave me this lamp and it has been in my daughter's room since she was born. I just wasn't loving the plain white lampshade and planned on painting it before she was born. Well, she is 17 months now.. and I finally did it. And I love how it turned out!

You will need:
//lampshade
//fabric paint
//glue stick or stencil
//paint brush

1. lay out your newspaper and mix your paint(if you choose). I mixed some pink acrylic paint with white fabric paint to make the pink a little softer and to help the paint adhere to the lamp shade better.

2.Dip glue stick into paint and place onto shade. Decide how much
space you want between each polka dot.

2. Some of my circles had too much paint or not enough so I used a paint brush to
fill them in or take off excess.
After I finished, I checked each circle and made sure they were filled in.
Let dry overnight.
 Enjoy your cute lamp!
I wasnt prepared for how cute it would look in her room :)

I hope you are enjoying Polka Dot Week as much as am :)
Only one day left!
