R & R Workshop: Dark Chocolate Blueberry Cookies

Dark Chocolate Blueberry Cookies

I found Dark chocolate covered blueberries at Sam's Club.. and they changed my world. For days I talked about trying them in a cookie. I love a good chocolate chip cookie..but maybe we could change it up :)
So I did. And let me tell you..  these are sooo Good!!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup of butter or shortening
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbs milk
1 Tbs vanillla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate covered blueberries

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375*.
2. Combine shortening, packed brown sugar, milk & vanilla in a bowl. Beat until creamy.
Beat egg into creamed mixture.
3. Combine flour, salt and baking soda and mix into shortening mixture. Mix until well blended- add chocolate covered blueberries.
4. Place drops of dough (about 2 tbsp) onto ungreased baking sheet.
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet.
Makes 3 dozen.

Tips:
// I know most recipes say to not pack your brown sugar, but really.. pack your brown sugar! Thats the secret to the best cookies ever :)
//Cookies will cook a little bit longer the cookie sheet. I usually bake the cookies for 8 minutes and then let them sit on the cookie sheet for another minute or so longer.

Ok I love those things. I was at Walgreen's and saw them in cute little packages, but decided to wait to get them at Sam's Club so I would have enough to last me! Now I have a great recipe to try with them!

Sounds great! Are these dried blueberries, or do you dip fresh ones into chocolate?
