Can I first start by saying, whenever I see chevron stripes I also think of Charlie Brown? Pretty sure he was ahead of the times :)
I'm excited to share this easy no-sew costume as part of a fun series with C.R.A.F.T & Really Awesome Costumes!
My kids have been watching old episodes of Charlie Brown on Netflix. They really don't make cartoons like they used to, by the way. lol. My son had a yellow t-shirt that his grandma bought and it dawned on me that I could add a black zig zag and it would be a charlie brown shirt. so I did. Add some black shorts or pants and there ya go!
You will need:
//Yellow shirt (you can find them at walmart, target, etc.)
//1/2 yard Black felt
//Glue Gun & glue sticks
1. Determine how thick you want your zig zag to be. You can draw on the felt or cut it out free hand.
I ended up cutting 2 or 3 different pieces and then aligning them up to go all around the shirt.
3. Glue your zig zag pieces to the shirt.
excuse my glue gun- it gets a lot of use!
3. Add black shorts or black pants.
I love how it turned out!! Any costume that you can make using
things you already have is awesome in my book!
Be sure to check out all the other awesome costumes here.
I think Charlie approved..
Are you making any costume this year? :)
