I love decorating for Fall!
Remember our gallery wall? I wanted to add more copper in the other parts of our home. A little different then the typical gold that is becoming popular in home decor. These $1 store pumpkins I spray painted copper turned out prettier then I imagined.
Pumpkins are my favorite part of decorating for the fall because you can leave them up until Thanksgiving! Yes, I love Halloween decor like my Burlap Boo Bunting. But Pumpkins I like to leave up for both holidays!
I added some pumpkins I already had- an orange pumpkin from Joann Fabrics and a stick pumpkin from Target. I always buy pumpkins after Halloween is over.. you can find the best deals then! Keep an eye for what you like in the stores and go back after the holiday is over.
-Pumpkin- I found mine at the dollar store!
1. Spray paint your pumpkin with Rust-oleum Hammered Copper paint! Here's a tip: Put a pen or pencil into the bottom of the pumpkin. So much easier to paint every side without getting paint on your fingers!
After the first coat, allow to dry.
2. Let dry for a few hours. I put the pen inside a cup-
the pumpkin may stick to the the cup a little but it wont
be a big deal since its on the bottom.
What do you think?
I think they added such a fun element to our mantel. Such a pretty combo with the orange and red leaves. I love how everything came together. The paint is one of my favorites and reminds me of my hometown- a small town in Washington State. It is a perfect picture to display for fall/winter.
