R & R Workshop: Easy Photo Gallery Wall

Easy Photo Gallery Wall

I'm excited to share my gallery wall today! This has been a few years in the making.. and I'm glad to finally have pictures on my wall :)

I knew I wanted to include all the black frames I had and add in some color too. I originally had silver or gold in mind for the mirror until a friend mentioned copper might look great. And she was so right! The copper paint is Rust-Oleum hammered Copper.  The blue color I chose was a little darker at first but after adding the copper we decided to tone it down. I'm so happy with this shade of blue!

I found frames and the mirror at thrift stores and collected through the years.  The quote was a gift from a friend for my birthday. The wooden letter R and wooden number 4 I painted copper and blue. Since there are 4 of us in our family, I loved having that number displayed on our wall.

I used the Love sign from this set.

We use this room for a dining room but also to store some of our kids toys. It works out perfect and you can see this wall from the front door so I love the statement it makes right when you walk in!

I'm so happy with how it turned out! I love the look of modern with the mix of antique frames and mirror. We will be adding a recent family picture and I have a few other things in mind. That is the nice thing about having such a big wall, I can just keep adding to it as I want!

With fall coming, I'm excited to add some copper more into my home. I painted some copper pumpkins and love how they turned out!

what do you think? Do you have a gallery wall? :)

Hi Rachel I was visiting HoH and saw your gallery wall. I also linked up my gallery wall today but I thought it was good that you mentioned that your wall had taken years. I thought I'd be able to do mine in 3 weeks but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Love your gallery wall its well done.

Love this! The combo of copper and aqua is really striking! And I love how the gallery really has a "collected" feel but goes together so well. Great job! I popped over from House of Hepworths! Thanks for sharing!

I also FINALLY put up things on our walls. I am doing gallery walls in my husband's office and in my daughter's room (you can see it here at http://circusberry.wordpress.com/2013/09/06/dont-lose-the-dreams-diy-framed-art/).
I love the variety of items you put up, and there is always room for more! So sweet.

I have a gallery wall, but it's straight photos at this point. What I like about yours is that there are non-photo items and that you've been able to balance differently shaped pieces. That's where I struggle. Nice job!
