Thanksgiving Tradition & family
One our favorite traditions is simply letting each other know what we are Thankful for before we eat. I remember being nervous as a little girl when it came to my turn. "Would I know the right thing to say?" I don't think there is a "right" answer. I learned a lot about each of my cousins, aunts and uncles and even my own family. Even from this simple tradition, it brought us closer and one of the best memories I have.
We live far away from all of our parents, cousins and siblings so we will be spending Thanksgiving with my brother in law and sister in law. Just our small little group but I am excited for this little tradition. My son is 5 and I feel like this is the first year he may really understand the whole meaning of Thanksgiving and being together as family. He loves drawing our family and loves including aunt Nan, uncle dude (its a nickname ;) and even Jayda the dog.
I truly hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love. I'm thankful for you, dear readers.
Enjoy this day of Thankfulness.. and Turkey. and pie. and family.
