R & R Workshop: 2014 One Little Word and some exciting news!

2014 One Little Word and some exciting news!

I've been thinking about what my "One Little Word" would be for this year but I really couldn't narrow it down to a word..so how about a phrase?

Enjoy The Moment is what I chose to work on this year.

Since my blog will be a year old at the end of the month (can you believe it!?), 2013 was one the hardest, most rewarding, challenging and life changing years for me and my family.. We laughed, we cried (more like I cried), struggled and I learned a lot about how to juggle family life. If I am really passionate about something- I want to give my all. Balancing family and my blog was hard. After the busyiness of the holidays.. I was tired. Like so emotionally drained. I spent a lot of my time with my little family and not worrying about anything else blog related. it was sooo nice and much needed.

I want to "Enjoy the Moment" when I am with my family. When my kids want me to play but I am thinking about 10,000 other things. Even just yesterday.. making cookies with my daughter for the first time... i don't want to worried about the other things I need to do or the mess it will make. these are memories that I will remember forever. Or building legos with my son.

A lot of life is learning how to balance it all. I really feel that for me, to Enjoy the moment and do the important things I need to do first, everything else will work out. Enjoy the moments of working on my blog, enjoy the moments of prayer and pondering, enjoy the moments with my hubby, enjoy the moments talking with friends, etc. giving my full attention. I'll let you know how I'm doing but I would love to see your moments of enjoyment as well! Hashtag #enjoythemoment to share and I will share them throughout the year :)

Some exciting news:  I will be a contributor on the blog Uncommon Designs! I am really excited about this opportunity. Bonnie & Trish are such talented ladies and I am so honored to contribute to their awesome blog!

Do you have a One Little Word you are working on this year?

Don't Forget, Hashtag #enjoythemoment to share all those moments you enjoy :)

I think you're definitely on to something here. More "present" time instead of being there only in body. And Congratulations on your contributorship!

Couldn't agree more with your phrase! I've been trying to not be so rushed lately as well. It helps. :)

Love your phrase! It's not always easy to balance; I don't think we will ever have it perfect, but I think it's just a continual course correction. You are a good momma and you bring people happiness through your blog, too! :)

What a wonderful phrase for your life. Everyone should live that phrase. My word for the year is "commitment". I am usually good at keeping my commitments to other people, but I'm not so great at keeping them to myself. You know, moms put everyone else first. This year I'm going to focus on keeping my commitments to myself more. I will still keep my other commitments, but if I don't take care of myself, I won't be any good to anyone else. :) Congratulations of being a contributor! So exciting!!

Be in the Moment...I heard it one morning as my every ending to do list was circling in my head. I so agree with you.
