R & R Workshop: Pink Toddler Bed (Up-cycle)

Pink Toddler Bed (Up-cycle)

I found a cute toddler bed at a garage sale and I decided to paint in pink. My kids have been sharing a room now for the past year and I haven't had the motivation to do it. But Once I started this project... thats where it all began :) I will be sharing my son and daughter's shared room throughout the next week but I wanted to start with this cute bed.

First, let me show a before picture:

It was an ok color, but it needed an update. I bought some spray paint- Ballet Slipper from Krylon and went to work. I did use a primer and then the pink spray paint also had a primer in it as well. After a full day out in the hot sun, it was ready by bedtime!

Here is the pink bed!

Up until this point, my daughter has still been in her crib. We tried taking off one side of the railing but she kept falling out. We put it back up for a few weeks and she just climbed out.. she's a climber.

Lets just say she was a little more then happy to have her own bed! Or "pink bed" as she calls it.

She still talks to me about it at bedtime and ask if her brother's bed is going to be painted too. I think it's safe to say she loves it!

Oh my goodness. I love the pink bed! If only I could get away with painting our bed pink--I'm pretty sure my husband would have a heart attack. I'm definitely pinning for when I actually do have a baby girl to make a pink bed for. :)

I love the pink bed!! I'm interested to see your shared room. We're moving soon and our 2.5 year old boy and 1 year old girl will be sharing a room. I'll make sure to check back soon!

Evi makes me laugh. My husband is a very patient man who rarely gets riled, but I think a pink bed would do it for sure! I love the pink bed, and foresee my daughter needing a toddler bed soon (also a climber), but my son isn't giving up his toddler bed for the twin size in time, as I had hoped.
