R & R Workshop: Mint & Polka Dot Ornaments

Mint & Polka Dot Ornaments

Happy First day of December! I'm so excited for Christmas and I wanted to share this cute and easy ornament idea:

My sister is getting married this month and one of her colors is Mint. We have been painting dozens of mason jars the past few weeks and since she won't be needing the lids, we have lots. I thought it would be fun to make an ornament using them! You saw a little sneak peak when I shared the Bow Christmas Tree Garland, so here is the tutorial to make these cute ornaments:

You will need:
Mason jar lids
Mint paint
White paint
circle sponge
hot glue gun & glue

1. First, I painted each of the lids and let them dry over night.

2. Using the circle sponge, paint polka dots onto the lid. I did a couple different coats of polka dots.
3. Let dry over-night.
4. Cut ribbon to desired length and hot glue to lid.

5. All done!

I love how the mint really pops next to the bow garland

Do you have any fun color combinations on your tree this year? :) and don't forget to enter the $400 Cash Giveaway going on right now!
