R & R Workshop: DIY Buffalo Check Arrow

DIY Buffalo Check Arrow

Pattern is my new favorite way to decorate in our home. We are renting so I can't do much with our walls (luckily they are a pretty gray shade). So to add pattern, color, etc.. it's all in the accessories! It's also a great way to change a few things in your home without re-decorating the whole room.

I bought my arrow at our local craft store, Porters. I kept it unfinished for a few months because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to paint or cover it with. One day at the craft store I found this cute Buffalo Check paper and knew it would look so fun on the arrow!

You will need:
Arrow
Buffalo Check Scrapbook paper- mine is by Crate Paper.
Scissors
Modge Podge
Paint Brush

1. Trace the arrow on the paper. If you want to, paint your arrow before you attach the paper, but I chose to keep mine as is.

2. Put modge podge onto the arrow and stick your paper on to it (like shown below).

3. Once the paper is attached to the arrow, paint over the top of the paper.

I'm normally a polka dot kind of gal, but Buffalo Check is a new favorite and I love that I can add little bits of it to our home without changing the whole room.
