R & R Workshop: Disney Princess Ice Cream Party

Disney Princess Ice Cream Party

So excited to share this fun party with you! A little bit about our theme.. early in the summer my daughter started talking about a princess party. I shared on Instagram about the cutest ice cream cone bubbles I found and I knew that it was fate. Disney Princesses and Ice Cream= heaven for a 5 year old :)

Fast forward to October, we started talking more about what my daughter wanted to do/have at her party. We only do birthday parties for our kiddos every couple of years so this was her first friend birthday party. We kept it small with 4 little friends.

Thanks to Oriental Trading, we found exactly what we needed for her party! When I think of Ice Cream parlors, I think of stripes. So once I found the pink and white striped table cloth- that was the jumping off point!

The tent added the Ice cream parlor feel we were looking for. I knew most of our budget would go to decor but I love that I will be able to use some of the items again and again. One thing I've learned from planning parties is not spend all your money on things that you will never use again! The flowers and garland were things we already had and use in her room. I love shopping my house for party decor too :)

Each girl came dressed in their favorite princess dress and received a crown to wear! There were so many styles choose from- it was hard to narrow it down but we picked this gold crown!

The girls played a fun game of Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream cone. You can get the free printable here. Such a great game for kids of any age!

We kept the food simple with ice cream, a couple toppings, sprinkles of course and cupcakes! These cute cupcakes I bought at our local grocery store and they were perfect and tied in our princess theme. But the ice cream bowls and spoons were one of my favorite parts! The girls loved picking out their toppings for ice cream and using the cute little spoons to eat.

I loved hearing all their little conversations and giggles!

The highlight of the party was face painting by Rapunzel! We thought face painting would be a fun activity and I kept it a secret that Rapunzel was going to come. I wish I could show you the girl's faces when they saw her. It was priceless! If you are local to Utah, check out Purple Monkey Paints- Amber was amazing!  We can't thank her enough!

It was a successful party, indeed! One happy 5 year old!
